There are questions asked

frequently about what the

Neighborhood Association does for

our community. This list explains

some of the accomplishments of

BCNNA since the year 2000.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

1.  Two new entrance signs, one paid for by the MUD, the other at Sendero Springs paid for and installed by BCNNA with landscaping.

 

2. Entrance to BCN from Sendero cleared and cleaned up by BCNNA volunteers.

 

3.  Requested and provided input to MUD for:

  • New playscape, kiddie swings, and climbing wall in park
  • New drinking fountain in park.
  • New doggie station in park.
  • New benches in park and more to come in 2007.
  • New pavillion in park (to be built in 2007)
  • New bathroom in park (to be built in 2007)
  • Forty trees planted in park with complete irrigation system.
4.  Sand volleyball court in park refurbished.
 
5.  Continuous trash pickup along streets and boulevards by BCNNA volunteers.
 
6.  BCN website installed and paid for by BCNNA.
 
7.  New park sign and marquee are going to be installed in 2007/08.
 
8.  Currently working on new Architectural Control Committee for BCN.

 

9. Helped keep MUD from annexing the driveways of the Great Oaks Neighborhood

 

10. Organized Neighborhood Garage Sale, paid for newspaper advertisement and provided neighborhood maps of participants to the customers.

 

11. Improved awareness of issues that affect our neighborhood (understanding deed restrictions, assisting with enforcement, and working to create a new Architectural Control Committee (ACC)

 

12, Help enforce covenant restrictions and help mediate and resolve issues between neighbors.
